UBS ARENA
Opened in November 2021 for the 2021–2022 NHL season, the 17,000-seat UBS Arena serves as the permanent home of the New York Islanders. In addition to hockey, the arena accommodates up to 2,000 additional seats for concerts and live events and features the largest high-definition scoreboard in New York, along with two levels of high-resolution LED ribbon boards throughout the venue.
HIGH SCHOOL 472
300,000-square-foot facility the largest high school the SCA has built in New York City designed to accommodate over 3,000 students annually.
NYLI Cold Storage Facility
The NYLI Distribution Center is an 850,000-square-foot industrial facility comprised of three separate structures. J.C. Steel Erectors performed the erection of over 3,000 tons of structural steel and metal deck, delivering high-volume with efficiency, accuracy, and strict adherence to project sequencing and safety standards. The scope required coordinated crane operations and disciplined field execution to meet schedule demands on a large-scale distribution project.
JFK TERMINAL ONE REDEVELOPMENT
J.C. Steel Erectors played a significant role in the redevelopment of JFK Terminal One, delivering complex structural steel and precast erection across multiple phases of the project. The scope included erecting the enclosure surrounding the existing AirTrain, a highly coordinated effort that required precision construction while maintaining uninterrupted airport operations. In addition, J.C. Steel was responsible for the Southeast quad of the terminal one headhouse, followed by the East Pier structure.
SOUTH SHORE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
The expansion significantly enhances the hospital’s ability to deliver high-quality care to Suffolk County and surrounding communities. This four-story addition required the precise installation of transfer girders and trusses over active hospital infrastructure, with individual steel members weighing more than 40,000 pounds. The successful execution of this complex work reflects careful planning, coordination, and collaboration across all teams involved.

Entire-building immersive experience structure in the heart of Times Square, on the corner of 47th Street and 7th Avenue.
GOOD SAMARITAN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
A major hospital expansion, representing the facility’s first significant growth initiative in over 30 years. The scope included the installation of 2,000+ tons of structural steel to support a 300,000-square-foot patient care pavilion designed to meet modern healthcare and life-safety standards.
The expansion delivers a 75-room emergency department, state-of-the-art operating suites, 42 inpatient rooms, a central sterile processing department, and expanded mechanical and MEP support space. Steel erection activities required precise coordination with crane engineering, logistics, and adjacent active hospital operations to maintain safety, schedule, and uninterrupted facility access.
WILDFLOWER STUDIOS
Wildflower Studios is a 775,000-square-foot commercial film studio located in the Ditmars Steinway neighborhood of New York City.
J.C. Steel Erectors installed over 900 architectural precast panels for the city’s first studio of its kind.

Mixed-use tower rising in the heart of Brooklyn. Standing over 450 feet tall and encompassing approximately 400,000 square feet, the project required precise coordination and execution.
J.C. Steel Erectors erected 2,245 tons of structural steel utilizing a tower crane, which also played a critical role in supporting the concrete core erection.
441 9TH AVENUE
441 9th Avenue is a major transformation of a former eight-story warehouse originally built in 1962, converting it into a modern office tower. The project adds 17 new floors atop the existing black masonry–clad structure, delivering approximately 700,000 square feet of new office space to the neighborhood.
23-30 BORDEN AVENUE
This massive multi-use studio and distribution facility was constructed using some of the largest crawler cranes available to handle extremely heavy structural members.
